Renowned for creating the iconic Bar-X™ range of Amusement With Prizes (AWP) machines, Electrocoin’s products have become staples in arcades, casinos, and entertainment venues across the world.

Over its 40-plus years of operation, Electrocoin has proudly partnered with many of the world’s leading video game manufacturers. The company has distributed legendary titles such as Universal’s Cosmic Monsters™, Cosmic Alien™, Cosmic Gorilla™, and the global hit Mr Do™; Taito’s Real Puncher™; Capcom’s Super Street Fighter II™; Konami’s Soccer Super Stars™; and Tatsumi’s Super Delta Force™.

During the early 1990s, Electrocoin served as Data East’s main UK distributor, contributing to the revival of adult pinball tables themed after major films and television series including Lethal Weapon 3™, Star Wars™, and Baywatch™. In 1992, Electrocoin further expanded its influence by producing and distributing the four-player edition of Konami’s X-Men™, which achieved exceptional sales success.

Seeking to broaden its appeal to younger audiences, Electrocoin also ventured into the production of coin-operated children's rides for shopping centres, arcades, and theme parks. Popular titles included Postman Pat™, Rosie and Jim™, and Super Mario™. The Postman Pat™ ride proved especially popular in Scandinavia, with around one-third of exports going to Norway. Electrocoin also pioneered interactive touchscreen features with innovations such as Postman Pat’s Paint Pot™ and Photo Play™.

In 2016, to mark the 35th anniversary of Bar-X, Electrocoin launched a mobile app version of the classic game for iPhone and iPad — introducing a new generation of players to the timeless Bar-X experience.
